Namir Anani is the President and CEO of the Information and Communications Technology Council (ictc-ctic.ca), he is the chief strategist and driving force in bringing ICTC’s world-class centre of expertise and services to industry, education and government. Under his leadership, ICTC is shaping Canada’s digital landscape by bridging innovation, policy, and talent to drive sustainable growth in the digital economy.
Before joining ICTC, Namir held several executive leadership roles in both the private and public sectors including the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC), the Department of Canadian Heritage (Director General & CEO), CGI consulting, Nortel, and Novartis (Switzerland).
Namir has served on numerous boards and is a frequent keynote speaker and thought leader on innovation, the future of work, and the digital economy. His insights have informed national policies and corporate strategies shaping Canada’s global competitiveness in the 21st century. Namir holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Electrical Engineering from the University of Salford (UK) as well as a Professional Engineer designation in Ontario (P. Eng.).
