Shaila Calvo Almeida, MSc in Telecommunications Engineering from the University of Vigo, combines a strong technical background with a passion for developing technology that creates real positive impact in people’s lives. This motivation led her to dedicate her entire professional path to the field of eHealth. She is currently Head of eHealth & Biotech at Gradiant, a leading technology center in Galicia (Spain), where she leads cutting-edge initiatives that harness Artificial Intelligence to advance innovation in healthcare and biotechnology sectors. Throughout her career, she has designed, participated in and coordinated numerous R&D&I projects at both national and European levels, collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders, including international hospitals and clinics, laboratories, academia, as well as private companies.
